Recently, exercising our creativity:
Kindergarten is working with clay and sculpture to build caterpillars

1st Grade are making delicious soft sculpture pizzas.

2nd Grade is learning patience by making origami figures out of folded paper.

3rd Grade made cut paper donuts, like Henri Matisse would have done.

4th Grade just finished making giant fish and sea creatures for a giant indoor aquarium out of stuffed paper and a lot of staples.

5th Grade is studying the human form in motion by making clay athletes.

6th Grade is studying the element of form by making clay sculpted desserts.

7th Grade: is learning about Romanticism of the early 19th century and made some stormy watercolor seascapes.

They began the year by designing their own version of a Nike shoe online. View their Gallery. (You can even create computer wallpaper from your favorites.)

8th Grade: designed persoanlized Confirmation banners to celebrate their faith.

Honors Art is studying the art of Jasper Johns and learning about symbols and encaustic painting.
