4th GRADE

MRS. LOIS BUUCK – Teacher

Fourth graders are still hard at work. We’re studying about the Civil War in Indiana History. We’ve learned about slavery and the Underground Railroad. It’s very interesting! In Science we’re learning about different forms of energy - heat, light, sound, etc. Our character book reports are in the hallway. Come see them! We hope to see you on VIP Day! We need your help!! See you next time - Mrs. Buuck

We pray that all of you had a very blessed Christmas and hat God will bless you in this new year as He has in the past. We’ve all been working hard since our return to school. Our "character" book reports are due February 8, so we’ve been reading for those. Please come and see our reports once we get them in the hall. In Social Studies we’re learning about when Indiana became a state. In math we’re working on fractions and decimals and dividing with remainders. One of our classmates, Alexa has been in the hospital since we returned from vacation. She had her appendix removed. We’re hoping she’ll return soon! Please keep her in your prayers. See you next time. Mrs. Buuck

Things are moving along nicely in fourth grade. In math, we’re working on unknowns in addition and subtraction. In English it’s those subjects and predicates that we are identifying. Did you know that duck farms in Indiana supply almost one-third of the nations’ ducks? Did you know that our hog population is equal in number to our human population? Oh, the things we learn in Indiana History! See you next time. Mrs. Buuck

Welcome Back!! Fourth graders are now in full swing. We had a great summer and are now back, ready to work. We’ve chosen our states for our state reports which are due in October. We’re busily gathering information and making our dioramas. We’re reviewing those math facts and learning about our great state of Indiana. We hope to have lots of fun this year as we grow and learn. See you next time! –Mrs. Buuck
