SCIENCE FAIR
Several students qualified to continue compete in the IUN Regional Science Fair at the Gary campus. Congratulations to sixth grader Angela Jones, seventh graders Kristin Brumm and Katie Engel and eighth grader Julie Puvogel who all earned Best of Fair awards.

WORD POWER CHALLENGE
Sponsored by Readers Digest, this vocabulary bee challenges students from all over the state. The following students won in their grade level: Jenny Deecken (8)*, Ellen Scoleri (7)*, Matthew Bergin (6)*, Killian MacFeely (5), Madilyn Maher (4). *These students qualified to go on to the Indiana state competition.

MUSIC COMPETITIONS
Students from St. Paul's competed in three different music competitions in January and February. They earned 30 Gold medals and 3 Silver medals. Congratulations on outstanding performances!

PRINCIPAL FOR A DAY
Amy Richardson spent the day as acting principal, helping conduct a chapel service, wearing the official necktie, eating lunch with Mr. Zimmer, answering mail, pulling the fire alarm, and more! He got a few photo–ops and a certificate to commemorate his brush with power.
