Bible Presentation for 2nd Grade:

MAY 22, 2022, 9:30 am service
Sessions: May 8, 15, & 22 during
9:30 worship Sunday School

For almost 20 years, St. Paul's Munster has been recognizing the spiritual milestone of new confident readers by giving them their own "grown-up" copy of the Holy Bible (ESV).
Bible and Me is a 3-session program developed here at St. Paul's to bring parents and 2nd graders from church and school together to learn the "what, why, and how" of the Bible before students are presented with their own Bible at an altar rail ceremony during worship. This Bible is the same version used by the St. Paul's day school throughout their Elementary and Middle School years, is blessed by the church and contains a handwritten bookplate blessing from a parent and/or family member.

Led by Mrs. Boblink from Sunday School dismissal during the 9:30 service-10:45 am on Sundays in the Resource Room, (MAY 8, 15, & 22), parent and child watch videos, play games, find Bible verses, and do hands-on activities together and at-home that walk through what the Word of God really is, its truth and relevance to an 8 year old and an 80 year old. This has become a memorable and meaningful one-on-one time for parents, students and their developing faith lives.
If a grandparent, guardian, or both parents will be participating, that's great! We ask that adults attending be limited to two per child during the classroom sessions for space reasons. Thank you!
