LWML SUNDAY
Following all services, the weekends of September 30-October 1 and October 7-8 the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) will be collecting mites. The collection of mites is based on the Biblical account of the widow’s mite in Luke 21:1-4 where the poor widow gave all she had. The 2023-2025 national LWML mission grants include missions for Tanzania Children’s Home ($74,500), Bringing God’s Word to India ($100,000), Dakota Boys and Girls Ranch ($100,000), Feeding Haitian Children ($58,082) and 27 additional national and international missions. The 2022-2024 Indiana District mission goal is $123,000 funding missions for Phil’s Friends, Concordia Seminary Food Co-op, Worship Anew, and Gloria Dei Hispanic Mission in Valparaiso as well as other Indiana missions. Stop by the LWML table and learn more about what your mites can do to share the love of Jesus throughout the world. Candy Donations Needed - It's that time of year again, our Trunk N' Treat is scheduled for Sunday, Oct 29th from 2-4pm. Historically we have had 200 kids come through our car trunk line so LOTS of Candy is needed. Please consider making a donation of candy to our event to help minimize costs. Thank you in advance to all our donors, you are very appreciated.
Giving Tree—It’s back to school time! We are highlighting the needs of the groups here at St. Paul’s. Our giving tree has requests for items for Swaddling Clothes, St. Paul’s Teachers, and our church ministries. Thank you for your generosity. Board members, if your board needs items, please reach out to Pastor Krebs to get items added to the Giving Tree.
Support our ministries:Altar Guild - is looking for volunteers. Contact Diane Targatz at 708-895-1960 for more information.
Yard Signs - The Board of Evangelism has yard signs to encourage those in your neighborhood in hope and to recognize St. Paul's as a worship and support option. Please contact the office or Bobbi Reyes (708-220-9543) if you would like a sign. Since they are only printed on one side, we are recommending that you obtain 2 signs and place them back to back. Show your St. Paul's pride by putting one in your yard!
Sunday School- Volunteers are needed to teach, sing, supervise, and man the nursery, during the 9:30 worship hour and the 10:45 Bible Study hour on Sundays. Click "Sunday School" under the Discover menu.
