Ladies, are you free on Tuesday afternoons? If so, consider joining us for the Ladies Bible Study that meets every second and fourth Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. We will start up again on September 9 and will continue our study of Esther. If you have questions or need copies of the materials, please contact Kathryn Camp at 219-836-5639.

Wondering how to best support the Lutheran SGO? You could give from your Individual Retirement Account (IRA). In most cases, personal distributions from an IRA are taxable. So, giving directly would eliminate owing taxes on the distributions, while at the same time, provide you with a 50% tax credit! That's a win-win! A person who is 70.5 years old can begin receiving IRA distributions without penalty. Once someone turns 73, that person must begin taking Required Minimum Distribution (RMD.) Giving your RMD directly to the SGO is a great way to truly maximize your SGO giving potential, without paying state taxes! Still have questions, visit lutheransgo.org or call the school office at 219-836-6270 ex. 202.

The 95th season of Dartball starts this month. We'll start practicing Tuesday evenings at 6:30 pm. Any confirmed male member is eligible to participate. For Information Call/Email Brian Hott : 219.838.5949/[email protected].

Giving Tree – Summer is in full swing and the giving tree is full of blooms! This season we are highlighting the needs of the groups here at St. Paul’s. Our giving tree has requests from Trail Life, American Heritage Girls, Choir, St. Paul’s teachers, Swaddling Clothes, as well as other ministries within our walls. There are plenty of blank leaves. If you are on a board and are in need of something, please fill out a leaf and let the church office know.

Substitute Teachers Needed- We are glad to have a full faculty and staff at St. Paul’s! We are always in need of substitute teachers, teacher aides, and extended care workers. Substitute teachers follow the plans that the teacher created, teacher aides assist the teacher in the classroom, and extended care workers provide before and after school care for our students. If you are interested in learning about these opportunities, please contact Mrs. Engel at [email protected] or 219-836-6270 x201.

Keeping our membership records accurate is not just a task—it's a vital thread that weaves together the fabric of our community. We invite you to take a moment to reflect on any recent changes in your family situation, such as a new phone number, a recent move, or perhaps your children transitioning in or out of the home. Your updates not only ensure that our database remains current but also deepen the connections we share as a community. Remember, we are all integral pieces of this beautiful mosaic, and your family’s history is an essential part of our mission. If you would like to verify your membership details or have any preferences regarding the publication of your information, please feel free to reply directly to this email. Your privacy is paramount, and we respect your choices while encouraging you to stay engaged with the vibrant life of our church. Thank you for helping us keep the Guide Book & Directory up to date!
